The idea
CompareMenus brings together restaurant menus, published nutrition, location records and price observations, with the source and context kept visible. The focus is US restaurant chains, with wider tools and guides for choosing food, planning travel stops, ordering for groups and understanding public safety records.
How we work
We use official restaurant sources and public datasets. When information is unavailable, we show the gap rather than inventing a price or nutrition value. Historical menus are kept separate from current-menu tools. Our source and coverage page documents what has been collected and how it is checked.
Independent and transparent
We are not a restaurant, ordering platform, regulator or medical provider. Restaurant names are used to identify the businesses discussed and do not imply a partnership. We do not currently take orders or payments, and the website does not require an account.
