What changed on Panera’s menu?

New launches, seasonal returns and the current servings behind them.

These are dated launch announcements. A return date does not establish how long an item stays, whether every café stocks it, or today’s price. Linked servings appear in our captured reference menu; check their individual café price observations.

Menu launch: Sep 2, 2026

Fall soups, warm sandwiches and bakery additions

Three Cheese Lasagna Soup joined the menu, alongside returning Autumn Squash and Rustic Baked Potato soups. French Ciabatta Dipper and Chicken Pesto Dipper sandwiches returned. Bakery changes included a new PB&J Cookie and Cinnamon Croissant Bites, plus the returning Chocolate Chip Bagel. Harvest Medley Salad also returned.

Pumpkin drinks and bakery menu

Hot and iced Pumpkin Spice Lattes returned. New options were Pumpkin Spice Iced Coffee, Pumpkin Spice Frozen Java, Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll and Caramel Pumpkin Slice. The announcement also included the decorated Pumpkin Cookie. The iced coffee has sweet cream cold foam; the Frozen Java uses a dairy blend and whipped cream. A pumpkin-themed name alone does not establish a dairy-free recipe.

Market Bowls, premium salads and Frozen Java

The summer update introduced Sesame Ginger Chicken, Carnitas Elote and All-In Veggie Market Bowls in whole and half portions. New salads included Ultimate Garden Steak, Shrimply Baja and Farmhouse Crunch. Cafe Blend Iced Coffee and Frozen Java arrived in Snickerdoodle, Hazelnut Mocha and Rocky Road flavors. Island Mango Energy Refresher and caffeine-free Blackberry Hibiscus Herbal Iced Tea expanded the drinks range. Breakfast added Broccoli Cheddar and Five Cheese & Bacon Frittatas. Launch advertising said bowls started at $9.99; that is a dated starting-price claim, not today’s nationwide price.

Salad Stuffers become a menu category

The Italian Stuffer Roll introduced a way to serve salads inside bread. The launch highlighted Steakhouse and Santa Fe Salad Stuffers, alongside adaptations of existing salads. This is a distinct bread-and-salad format, so a salad bowl’s nutrition should not be copied onto a Stuffer.

Energy Refreshers and Frescas

Dragonfruit Sunset and Passionfruit Paradise launched as caffeinated Energy Refreshers. Cherry Lime and returning Strawberry Basil Lemonade were presented as caffeine-free Frescas. The same launch added the Dubai Style Chocolate Pistachio Cookie. These are distinct product families; older articles about Charged Lemonade should not be used as nutrition information for Energy Refreshers.

Bagel Stacks return and breakfast Stacks arrive

Chicken Roma and Spicy Steak Asiago Bagel Stacks returned. New breakfast choices included Wake-Up BLT, Farmhouse Duo and Sausage & Egg Stacks. Asiago Everything Bagel and Asiago Croissant Twists joined the bakery range. The advertised $7.99 lunch/dinner price belongs to this dated announcement; use local observations for a present comparison.

Holiday chocolate drinks and Crème Brûlée Bite

The holiday lineup introduced Frozen Signature Hot Chocolate and Crème Brûlée Bite, and included Signature Hot Chocolate plus hot and iced Mocha Lattes. Its accompanying soup promotion was conditional and time-limited; it is not a current menu price.

Black Bean Soup returns with a fall menu

Panera announced the return of Black Bean Soup after a seven-year absence, alongside Autumn Squash Soup, Hearty Fireside Chili and Pumpkin Cookie. Harvest Medley Chicken Salad and Crème Brûlée Latte were new. The statement establishes the 2025 return, not an exact earlier withdrawal date or a guarantee that the soup remains available.

Italian Steak & Mozz, Italian Market Salad and Strawberry Basil Lemonade Fresca were introduced as limited-time summer items. The same announcement listed Ham Croissant Benny, Ranch Parm BLT Salad and Brownie Cheesecake Bites arriving that week. A later same-name recipe must be checked independently.

Croissant Toast sandwiches and spring salads

Croque Monsieur and Fromage Croissant Toast sandwiches launched as limited-time choices. Strawberry Chicken Caprese Salad was introduced, while Strawberry Poppyseed Chicken Salad and Mexican Street Corn Chowder returned. The croissant toast was a sliced sandwich bread made from croissant dough, not an ordinary split croissant.

    Whole kids’ sandwiches and autumn soups

    Kids’ sandwiches moved to a whole-sized format, with Turkey & Cheese and Ham & Cheese joining Grilled Cheese. The fall soup update introduced Hearty Fireside Chili and Rustic Baked Potato Soup and brought back Autumn Squash Soup.     Bakery additions and croissant breakfast sandwiches

    The bakery update featured Almond Pastry, Cherry Pastry, Cranberry Orange Slice and coconut and chocolate-coconut macaroons. Pumpkin Cookie returned. Three croissant breakfast sandwiches paired egg and cheese with bacon, sausage or no added meat. The accompanying bakery discount was a historical conditional offer.

    Spicy sandwiches, avocado toast and returning bagels

    Spicy Fiesta Chicken and Kickin’ Grilled Cheese arrived with salsa verde spread. Classic Avo and Garden Avo toasts joined breakfast on Country Rustic Sourdough.     CinnaScrambles, CinnaTops and breakfast sandwiches

    Bacon Double Take, Steak & Wake and Ham Egg & Cheese expanded breakfast. CinnaScrambles placed scrambled egg and American cheese, optionally with sausage, inside a cinnamon roll. Limited-edition CinnaTops combined cinnamon rolls with cookie or brownie toppings. Their names do not establish a current recipe or availability.

    The New Era menu transformation

    The announced April 4 update included Toasted Italiano, Chicken Bacon Rancher and Ciabatta Cheesesteak, new grain-and-greens salads, Southwest Chicken Ranch and Ranch Cobb salads, and Bacon Mac & Cheese. Panera also announced changes to twelve existing recipes. A familiar item name therefore does not prove unchanged ingredients or nutrition across years.

    Value Duet pairings expand

    The announcement described fixed half-sandwich or half-salad pairings with a cup of soup, including Deli Ham with Chicken Noodle, Napa Almond Chicken with Chicken and Wild Rice, and Grilled Cheese with Creamy Tomato. Its $6.99–$8.99 range was a 2023 offer, not today’s nationwide price or an interchangeable You Pick Two quote.

    Toasted Baguettes launch nationally

    Green Goddess Caprese, Pepperoni Mozzarella and Smoky Buffalo Chicken launched as Toasted Baguette sandwiches on January 12. MyPanera early access preceded the national date. The national launch and announcement are kept as separate dates; a similar modern baguette sandwich is not assumed to have the original recipe.
