Start from the exact portion
Open a menu item and expand its customization groups. A whole sandwich and a half sandwich have different ingredient identifiers and can have different controls. We captured both observed customization versions rather than assuming every region has the same choices.
Read the default and the control together
Default means the ingredient belongs to the standard recipe. Optional means it is offered as a change. No, Light, Regular and Extra are source control labels, not universal gram weights. A bread group can require one choice while another group permits several additions.
A reference option is not a local quote
The lists do not assign reference-café modification charges to your local order. The price table covers the stated base serving. A local ordering menu or restaurant quote determines extra charges, substitutions and availability.
Treat secret-menu names as descriptions
An unofficial nickname is not a verified order code. Describe the base product, exact size and each desired change. A customization option does not prove that an old discontinued recipe can be recreated or ordered at every café.
Allergens and nutrition after a change
Published standard nutrition applies to the default build. Panera says its customization interface does not automatically revise the overall allergen declaration when ingredients change. We show any supplied modifier statements separately and do not produce an allergen-free claim.
